OUARC receives book donation from ARRL

Book donation

Kevin O’Dell (K0IRW), ARRL Oklahoma section manager, hands a copy of the 2011 ARRL Handbook to OUARC president Zac Flamig (KE5KJA).

The OU Amateur Radio Club (OUARC, call sign W5TC) has received a very generous donation of reading material from the American Radio Relay League (ARRL). On 3 December 2010, Kevin O’Dell, (N0IRW), ARRL Oklahoma section manager, presented OUARC members with the following books:
The ARRL Handbook for Radio Communications, 2011 88th ed., 1416 pgs.
The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual, 2nd ed., 336 pgs.
The ARRL Operating Manual for Radio Amateurs, 9th ed., 352 pgs.
The ARRL Antenna Book, 21st ed., 975 pgs.
These ARRL books, all in their most recent editions, contain a wealth of information about amateur radio and also include searchable CD-ROMs containing the complete text and diagrams. The books will be stored in the OUARC cabinet on the National Weather Center observation deck, to which dues-paying OUARC members have access. Persons interested in borrowing any of them should contact OUARC’s president Zac Flamig (zflamig [at] ou [dot] edu), or treasurer Robin Tanamachi (rtanamachi [at] ou [dot] edu).

Thanks to N0IRW and ARRL for this generous donation!
